Todd Hart
Todd C. Hart
Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Todd leads Narragansett Bay’s senior leadership team, directing all company policies and operations to assure NBIC cost effectively grows its capability to select and manage risk as well as service agents and policyholders. He has over twenty years of experience in a variety of financial services leadership, investment management and analytical posts. Most recently, he served as CEO of the Swiss-based Glacier Group, where he led the company’s strategy reorganization and provided operational management in underwriting, claims and risk. Prior to that role, he managed insurance and catastrophic risk investments and trading at the Dallas-based hedge fund, HBK Capital Management (since 2003), and its related entities (since 2000). During that time, he chaired or served on the underwriting, compensation, investment and finance, risk management, accounts and audit committees of the boards of directors of a variety of HBK investments. Previously, he worked for nine years in New York City for JP Morgan & Co., where he identified and executed mergers and financing of Fortune 1000 clients. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School, and an AB in Economics from the University of North Carolina, where he was a Morehead Scholar. He was a Henry Luce Foundation Scholar at the Securities Exchange of Thailand.

Nick Steffey

Chairman & Founder

Nick, the founding shareholder of NBIC Holdings, Inc., has 35 years of insurance experience, including the successful start-up of Liberty International Holdings, Inc. (a subsidiary of the Liberty Mutual Group), serving as founder, president and CEO from 1993 to 1998. From 1998-2000 he served as CEO of GIO Australia, one of the top 25 publicly traded companies in Australia. Nick also worked for 15 years with CIGNA Corporation in various executive capacities and, before that, for 10 years with the Chubb Corporation. He has served on the boards of the Pawtucket Foundation, Memorial Hospital, the Pawtucket YMCA and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. He currently serves as an Overseer on the Board of the USS Constitution Museum. He received his BBA from Pace University and MS-Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Sean F. Murphy

Chief Financial Officer

Kirk leads Narragansett Bay Insurance’s finance team, providing critical financial oversight and developing operating and financial strategic plans to advance the company’s overall business objectives. He has over 20 years of finance and insurance experience working as an Underwriter, Controller, and Chief Financial Officer. He recently worked as Vice President of Finance for The Hartford, where he provided financial oversight to the company’s commercial markets. He also worked for four years as Chief Financial Officer – International for Aetna and was responsible for the overall financial operations for twenty legal entities in the United States, Bermuda, China, Dubai, Ireland and the UK. He received his MBA from the University of Connecticut and his BA from Colorado College.

Chief Human Resources Officer

Kim is a multi-disciplined executive with demonstrated expertise in Human Resources, Mergers and Acquisition, Executive Assessment and Development, Compensation and Benefit Design and Organizational Development. Kim brings more than 20 years of HR and Executive Leadership experience. As, Founder and President of A Missing Link, she has consulted in executive Human Resource and Learning Development positions for organizations such as Lifespan, Hasbro, Beacon Mutual Insurance Company, Boston Beer Company, and Textron. She has led organizational and development, talent management life cycles, succession planning strategies, and overall HR integration projects. Kim also believes in a strong academic foundation. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of RI, a Human Resource degree from Bryant University, and a Master’s Degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. She is certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Predictive Index Selection tools, and CCL’s Benchmarks 360 program. She served as an adjunct professor in Bryant University’s Executive Development Center and on the Board of Directors for Big Sisters of R.I.

Senior Vice President

Tim oversees strategic marketing initiatives to promote the expansion of NBIC’s homeowners insurance market along the Eastern Seaboard. He is responsible for the development and oversight of agency relationships to advance the company’s overall business objectives. He also leads the company’s agency and client support teams, providing the framework and leadership necessary to deliver exceptional service to our valued producers and customers. Tim has over twenty years of insurance experience, leading both corporate and field management teams. He previously served as Vice President, Business Development, and Commercial Lines for Tower Group Companies. He also worked as Vice President, Underwriting and Product Management, Personal Lines for Tower Group Companies, and was Regional Vice President, Personal Lines for OneBeacon Insurance Group. Tim holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Clark University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Bryant University.

Nicole H. Perrault

Vice President, Risk Management

Nicole leads all facets of risk management and actuarial analytics, including reinsurance strategies, catastrophe management, pricing and supporting underwriting guidelines. She also provides due diligence on company transactions and capital decisions. She has a background in many facets of risk and actuarial analysis. Prior to joining NBIC, she served in Risk Management for OneBeacon Insurance. In that capacity, she was responsible for analyzing and providing catastrophic exposure metrics to the board of directors, rating agencies and field offices, as well as supervising the catastrophe and ERM modeling unit. She was also charged with supporting reinsurance planning, marketing and placements. Before she entered into the Property and Casualty industry, she worked on the actuarial team at Savings Bank Life Insurance. She graduated from University of Massachusetts with degrees in Mathematics and Economics.

Sean F. Murphy
Brendan Voss
Senior Vice President, Claims

Brendan has 20 years of claims operations and strategy experience with NBIC, Homesite Insurance Inc., and Nationwide Insurance of Frederick, MD. He brings a unique perspective on fire and water damage, having owned and operated his own home improvement and remodeling company. Vast experience in institutionalizing best practices aimed at proper and consistent claims performance to achieve the appropriate customer service and financial outcomes. He has technical credentials and experience in policy interpretation, casualty claim handling, claims law and property damage appraisal. Brendan received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
